Working in partnership with Naylors Gavin Black, we’ve reimagined the atrium within The Curve, a three-storey office building at Newburn Riverside, to make it a usable communal space.

AMH led the design and carried the fit out and furniture installation of the project, including a review of acoustic conditions in the atrium that then helped us incorporate acoustic solutions within the new scheme.

The project now encompasses an amazing collaboration space, with a variety of soft seating, plush booth/pods, coffee bar and private meeting spaces.

Timber oak slat walls with acoustic felt backing were installed up to 4 metres high, together with feature sombrero ring lighting to the atrium ceiling and pendant lighting to the private booths.

Bespoke booths were designed and installed with all furniture upholstered in the softest of fabrics.  Preserved foliage planters were interlaced throughout the furniture incorporating biophilic design across the atrium.

Forbo Allura Flex was used on the flooring to soften the impact of footfall which again, added to the acoustic improvement.
