Located in the heart of Sunderland, a city they've proudly been a part of for nearly 80 years, Richard Reed's new office space is a striking example of thoughtful design and functionality.
The welcoming reception area sets the tone with a contemporary slat wall, bespoke reception counter, statement pendant lighting and comfortable sofas to invite visitors in. A range of double glazed meeting rooms and a conference suite provides a choice of versatile spaces for meetings, collaboration and events.
Lighting played a central role in the transformation of the space, with a complete re-design featuring elegant pendants and a standout rectangular feature light in the Penshaw Suite, adding depth and character to the space.
Flooring has been carefully curated throughout the building, using a palette of colours and curves to subtly define zones from focussed workspaces to breakout and meeting areas.
At the heart of the office lies a vibrant yet relaxing breakout space, reflecting Richard Reed’s commitment to staff wellbeing. Bespoke curved seating in velvet-touch fabrics creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. Behind the seating, blue staves offer gentle separation from adjacent meeting areas, while the flowing curves echo throughout the scheme.
With panoramic views of Keel Square, City Hall and the new Keel Crossing, together with the beautiful outdoor atrium at The Beam, this new location for Richard Reed marks such an exciting chapter.
