AMH Workspace have completed the £600,000 refurbishment of grade II-listed Gainsborough House on Newcastle's Grey Street.
This was a full refurbishment of the common areas and vacant suites within the grade II-listed Gainsborough House on Grey Street, as well as a number of external repairs and decoration. It now comprises of 16,000 sq ft of modern, contemporary office space.
Silverstone BC were project managers for the works which included installing LED lighting throughout, shower facilities, new flooring and wallcovering.
This project went on to win ‘Refit/Refurbishment of the Year’ in the Insider Media Property NE Awards. The judges were impressed how significant technical difficulties of refurbishing a listed building on a busy commercial street were overcome to produce modern, high specification office space.
